I was super excited to welcome Angela Sagoe-Crentsil, Partner at PwC, onto the podcast today.<\/p>\n

Angela and I met in Melbourne last year, at a day organised by Inspiring Girls International<\/a>, where we were mentoring a group of senior high school girls.<\/p>\n

Angela and I instantly clicked and of course I asked her if she’d be happy to come on the show and talk about a topic that was important to her.<\/p>\n

What Does It Means to Be An Inclusive Leader?<\/h2>\n

Inclusivity goes straight to the heart of our deepest human values:<\/p>\n

That of belonging\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0validation<\/em>\u00a0and corporate leaders have a responsibility to ensure those values are met for each individual team player.<\/p>\n

Inclusivity is about leveraging the diversity of a group whether that be diversity of background, gender, race, experience, expertise, culture and cognitive experience.<\/p>\n

Research has repeatedly shown that groups with greater diversity, inclusivity, and a culture of psychological safety are more effective and collaborative and ultimately produce more robust decision making.<\/p>\n
