Stats tell us that only 47% of women have <strong>ever negotiated<\/strong> their salary&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s pretty stark&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Which is why I find it imperative that we tool-up and learn the skills of\u00a0<strong><em>easy\u00a0<\/em>salary negotiation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, we live in a society that still accepts practices of bias and yes, women are still underpaid compared to their male counterparts.<\/p>\n<p>I think it is ridiculous that progress is so slow&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>And we can push back against that, raise awareness of the issue and even vote with our feet if we feel our corporate culture is unsupportive&#8230; or even damaging to our professional progress.<\/p>\n<p>I also believe deeply in taking responsibility for the factors you absolutely\u00a0<b>can\u00a0<\/b>have control of&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Which is learning skills (whether you&#8217;re a woman or man!) to improve your ability to <strong>negotiate your salary<\/strong> on your own behalf.<\/p>\n<p>These skills are hugely important&#8230; so let&#8217;s talk about it in today&#8217;s episode!<\/p>\n<p>Also, at my company Illuminate Personal Growth, we run a free, live and online workshop,\u00a0<b>Easy Salary Negotiation<\/b>&#8230; to help corporate women like you learn the steps to confidently ask for your biggest pay rise yet!
