BCG Celebrating Women’s Success 2025

I so enjoyed attending BCG’s Celebrating Women’s Success event in Sydney yesterday and listening to such an energised and relevant conversation between Chilman Jain (facilitator, MD and Partner, BCG), Rachel Yangoyan (CEO, Qantas Link) and Danielle Handley (Chief Customer & Transformation Officer, BUPA).

I had a couple of big take outs. 🙌

#1. Leadership is HARD

Leadership is hard: whether that be about navigating your team through endless change…  or ensuring you are communicating (constantly) to make sure everyone is sticking to the strategy and remaining engaged.

I thought this acknowledgement was standout and relevant because the panel talked a lot about authenticity in leadership too.

#2. The 3-Cs of Leadership

I love a good 3-step process and this was one that was shared. All three steps require considerable time and investment from the leader.

I will attempt to paraphrase them here:

1. Connection
Making sure you connect at a deeper level with your team to build trust and rapport.

2. Clarity
Always checking in on your own understanding of the vision and objectives, as well as ensuring clarity for the team.

3. (Over)-Communicating
A leader can never communicate too much with her team, peers or seniors!

Every time I attend an event like this I am inspired by the sheer weight and calibre of female talent and leadership out there.
