The 5 Strategic Career Tips Women Don’t Ever Get, But Critically Need

Are you looking for a speaker for your next Women in Leadership conference or event?

In my signature talk, The 5 Strategic Career Tips Women Don’t Ever Get, But Critically Need, I share a raft of practical advice to help you step up and be promoted to leadership or senior leadership…

Advice that is all too often, only reserved for high-achieving men (whether done knowingly or not).

Consider this.

Think back to all the mentoring conversations you have had throughout your career.

How many of those conversations centred around you needing to be more confident, speaking up more, being more assertive or asking for more of what you want?

In some cases, this advice could be valid.

However, in my experience, the advice women who want to progress in their careers REALLY need (and just aren’t given) is quite different.

And I outline all of this essential advice in my talk.

Here is an overview of my talk:

• Instead of thinking about being more confident, invest your time and energy into understanding business strategy, influential communication, financial acumen, allyship and executive presence. These are the 5 pillars I coach around and are the focus of this speech.

• In this talk I also explain the importance of driving the outcomes in your own career and being bullish about chasing down the best opportunities for you – which sometimes means turning down some opportunities.

• I outline how to deepen your value proposition to your organisation by knowing how to add strategic insight and shifting your thinking towards what the business (not your division) actually needs to win.

• My advice talks about purposefully moving away from being that operational deliverer, that safe pair of hands, to being perceived and TRUSTED as a strategic partner, a strategic leader, in the business.

• I help you review how you’re being set up for success right now… and if you’re getting the critical mentoring and sponsorship you need to succeed.

• The strategies I outline in this speech will help you think more like a CEO and about the business; help you build influence in discussions and decision making and elevate your positioning in your organisation with speed to be seen as top talent, ready for senior leadership.

Women don’t have a confidence issue.

They have a strategy issue.

And in my talk The 5 Strategic Career Tips Women Don’t Ever Get, But Critically Need I am going to be demystifying the exact steps you can start taking today to enjoy the recognition you deserve…

… and for your organisation to benefit hugely from your expertise, unique perspective and leadership too.
