5 Beautiful Quotes from VP Elect Kamala Harris

Today is an historic one.

We can all sigh with relief that the tumultuous reign of Donald Trump is near an end.

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris won partly because I think they appear to be a calm, considered, inclusive alternative to the chaos that has been the last 4 years of American politics.

I think many American people are just looking forward to having a moment in the next year when they won’t have to think about politics… and where the country can be run automatically and competently without having politics pushed in their faces. 🙂

Biden and Harris have both had highs and lows in both their personal and professional lives and that human, warm, considered and unifying aspect is also part of their appeal.

Although I am relieved that the President elect will bring all this to the USA (as well as to the world), I am particularly excited and encouraged by the fact that not only is Kamala Harris highly capable, a doer and an intelligent candidate she is also a woman… and a woman of colour.

And you can’t help but be inspired by this double glass ceiling being smashed all at the same time.

– How will young girls be inspired by this feat?

– How will young boys be encouraged to view girls and women?

– How will those gender biased adult men shift their perceptions too?

Here are some of her most inspiring quotes from her acceptance speech today that I felt compelled to acknowledge and share with you…

I loved listening to Kamala Harris’ acceptance speech today; it was a masterclass.

You can read the whole transcript here.

And then this…

This is a from a speech Kamala made in 2017 at the National Partnership for Women and Families Gala:

How powerful!

Here’s to some unification and peace.

Here’s to hope.

Here’s to love, acceptance and togetherness…

What do you like about Kamala Harris?

What has she said that has inspired you?
