Are your imposter thoughts popping up far too often at the moment? Feelings of inadequacy... Feelings of self-doubt…
Feeling Emotional? 5 Qs to Unlock Your Funk
Hindsight is a beautiful thing, would you agree?
All too often, you feel wise after the event, right?
After you have blown up at someone else perhaps…
After you realised it was never their intention to hurt you…
After…
But what if you could be more proactive about managing your emotions?
Well, maybe not managing them… but managing yourself more effectively so that you’re more prepared next time, more in control and ultimately, happier with your response.
Here are 5 simple questions to help you check in more regularly to see how you’re feeling:
- What is angering or frustrating me most right now?
2. What am I holding onto that I need to release?
3. How am I allowing myself to adopt stressful behaviours?
4. What negative thoughts about myself, or my abilities, am I using to keep me safe?
5. How can I bring more joy into my world this minute?
And, because I’m me, here are a couple more questions you can ask yourself if you do have an emotional flare up to get you back on track:
- What is this emotion firing up for? What is it trying to teach me?
2. How do I choose to respond right now?*
*Remember you always have a choice over your response.
Happy self-reflecting!
