Ep 34 – How to Land Your First Board Position, with guest Lisa Cook

Are you considering a Board position but don’t know where to start? This practical guide will be perfect for you!

A lot of my clients ask me about the value of being on a Board and how to get started…

So I thought I’d invite the expert here in Australia, Lisa Cook – Founder and Managing Director of Get On Board Australia and host of the Board Shorts Podcast – to come on the show and explain the entire process. This is the first in a 3-part series.

Today our focus is on aspiring Board Members…

And Lisa is sharing her thoughts on…

  • What makes having Board experience so valuable…
  • How to do your due diligence and identify the best Board opportunities for you…
  • How to actually approach a Board to apply for a position…
  • What skills and experience Boards are looking for right now…
  • And a whole lot more!
