Too many women avoid building relationships with their senior exec team, but why when it…
Ep 107 – Introverted Leader: How to Tap Into Your Strengths Part 2, with guest Judith Sturman
Let’s extend our discussion of introvert strengths… how can you lead effectively as an introvert? Let’s explore this now!
My guest today is Judith Sturman, who is sharing her experiences as a successful introverted leader.
Despite most corporate cultures favouring an extroverted communication style…
(Think presenting to a group; being asked for an opinion on the spot; being expected to ‘take part’ in group or team activities)…
Introverts can thrive professionally and in leadership.
Judith and I are continuing our discussion about tapping into introverted leadership strengths and exploring:
- How leaders should see introversion as another vital aspect of diversity and be consciously looking to include introverts in the discussion
- The many strengths of an introverted leadership style including planning, strategy and forward thinking
- The natural gift of introverts to value ‘manging down’ to get great results
- Networking as an introvert and how to make connections with less effort
Judith says:
There are many strengths of an introverted style including strategic thinking, planning and forward thinking. Introverts can help themselves by telling their boss or their team of their preferred ways of communicating to set expectations from the outset.” (Judith Sturman, guest on Her Ambitious Career podcast)
