My guest today is Angela Sagoe-Crentsil, Partner at PwC Melbourne and we are talking about how to proactively create a new opportunity in your career when you have hit the ceiling of your current role.

- Understanding your value proposition
- Don’t be afraid to pivot to other opportunities if you think they will help further your career
- Knowing the difference between a ‘mediocre’ and a ‘genuinely stretching’ career opportunity
- Acknowledging that ‘value’ doesn’t need to be something gargantuan(!) to be valuable – value often comes in small actions
- Getting the support you need to achieve your ambitions
- Driving the outcomes of your career (rather than waiting for them to happen)

Spend the time trying to understand what makes you valuable. It can be your EQ, your team building or relationship building; it can be anything.
