We all struggle with self-doubt from time to time, right? And want to be more confident in the value we add…
But what if, that self-doubt becomes a habit…

Why you’re missing out on promotions…
Why you’re feeling stuck and invisible…
What then?
I put together this little micro-training for you (it’s about 6 mins long)…
To give you some tips on how to overcome your self-doubt…
And help you be more confident in your value and the impact you are making every day.

Hey There!
I’m Rebecca Allen and I’m a Career Success Coach for corporate women like you…
My sole mission is to help you get promoted and get paid (better) more quickly…
Which means fundamentally helping you become really, really confident in the impact you’re making to your organisation.
5 Strategies to Be More Confident in Your Value
Here goes…
Here’s tip number 1:
#1 Remember, Your Work Does Not Define You
If you’re having a difficult time at work…
It could be that you’re questioning whether or not your inputs are actually adding any value…
But I don’t want you to fall into the trap of assuming that because you’re not feeling your work is valuable…
That you are not valuable.
It’s a weird (and erroneous) connection that a lot of people make subconsciously…
And it plays havoc with esteem and confidence.
So I want to give you some tools right now, today, that you an start implementing straight away to stop you falling into this trap.
(Because that’s how I roll). 🙂

#2 Start Focusing on What’s There
Instead of getting stuck in that spiral of self-doubt…
Where you focus on all that’s NOT WORKING…
I want to challenge you to start doing the absolute opposite:
And start giving yourself a golden star for all that’s GOING WELL.
It’s all too easy to start listing out (and moaning to other people about) all the things that you don’t want in your life right now:
The ‘difficult boss’ perhaps…
The ‘missed opportunities’…
The frustration and disappointment.
Building a deeper sense of where (and how) you’re adding phenomenal value starts with a shift away from pessimism…
Into a place of optimism:
What is working well?
Who has got your back?
What projects did you deliver that crushed it?
What compliments did you get about your impact lately?
See what I mean?

#3 Get Feedback
In healthy working environments, regular feedback is part of the culture.
Our need for feedback varies.
Think of it like a sliding scale:
At one end you have people who need loads of feedback and validation to feel like they’re on track…
At the polar opposite end, there are people who never seek feedback at all.
Both extremes have their pros and cons…
But the point is this:
Self-validation is an important skill for any of us to master: to look at your outputs, just knowing that you’ve done a great job.
But there’s huge value too in getting that feedback from others including:
Highlighting anything you may have missed; making you aware of any blind spots; getting support for your ideas; strengthening your ideas; building esteem, connection and confidence.
So ask for feedback…
And you’ll build on what you already believe is good about your work.

#4 Already, Already, Already
One of the cornerstones of the work I do as a Career Success & Executive Coach for Women…
Is to help my clients see the value they are ALREADY adding.
All too often, they feel like they need more degrees, more experience, a bigger network to be able to add real value (and be valuable).
But that’s bonkers!
Do you agree?
Because you’re ALREADY sitting on a goldmine of expertise and experience.
Start thinking about what some of those huge buckets of value are and you’ll start making huge shifts in your career.

#5 The Clue Is In The Name
Self-love…
Self-worth…
Self-esteem…
Your starting point should always be with yourself… with YOU.
Stop comparing yourself with others…
Stop relying so heavily on others’ opinions of you and your work (whilst still getting a bit of healthy feedback from time to time)…
Become more critical about feedback you don’t agree with…
Learn not to take negative feedback personally…
Become more mindful of what YOU need to thrive…
And before you know it, you’ll be ditching that self-doubt and confidently sharing all that you’ve got with the world.
