Podcast Ep 22 – ‘Find Your Purpose; Master Your Ambitions’, with Shivani Gupta

Welcome to Her Ambitious Career, the personal branding and success podcast for ambitious corporate women who want to raise their visibility, be sought out for their expertise and gain the recognition they deserve.

This is Episode 22, ‘Find Your Purpose; Master Your Ambitions’ with my guest Shivani Gupta.

Shivani moved from India to Australia age 11 – her father wanted her to have the same opportunities that her brothers had. She is an executive mentor and has a life ambition (or purpose) to see all girls educated around the world. She has a particular focus on helping young girls in rural India gain education, citing the clear benefits:

In rural families  a better educated girl sees her worth go up and there are so many ripple effects of that,” Shivani says. “They leave school about 5 years later, they experience less domestic violence and early marriage and fewer die at childbirth.” Shivani’s is a serious purpose which is already making a huge impact.

In this episode, Shivani is sharing:

  • How to start defining your own purpose in a few simple steps
  • Her own purpose in seeing all girls educated worldwide
  • How to define your life and career ambitions and prioritise them to avoid burnout
  • And a whole lot more…

A fitting topic to start of the new year with a bang!

Stand Out Quotes:

“Women are trying to be great at everything – to master so many things – but then they run so thin. It’s important to prioritise tasks and deciding what you want to master. I’m certainly ambitious and I’m not going to apologise for it either.” (Shivani Gupta, guest on ‘Her Ambitious Career’ Podcast)
