About Celia:
Dr Celia Torres-Villanueva started her career as a scientist and established her own research lab on DNA Vaccines in Philippines early on in her career. Celia also served as Board Director in several not-for-profit organisations, and was appointed as an Associate Dean, and then later as Vice Chancellor, at the University of the Philippines.
Celia migrated to Australia and embarked on the challenging task of rebuilding her career while raising three children. She gradually climbed the ranks, and as commercial manager she has successfully negotiated multimillion and hundred-million dollar agreements with Fortune Global 500 companies.
She has managed multi-skilled teams, and coordinated team members from across the world. She sits as a non-executive board director in two not-for-profit organisations and an advisor to a third. She went on to serve as an Associate Director at EY and will soon commence as interim Head of Commercial at an esteemed engineering and defence company.
