How Effective Leaders Work on Their Blind Spots
It was a privilege to speak yesterday at the Future of Events Summit in Sydney.
A huge thank you to Stephanie Cassimatis of Pink Caviar Events for the invitation to present, and for bringing together such a diverse group of professionals passionate about the future of the events industry.
There were discussions about the impact of AI of course on events, an array of innovative solutions already being implemented to enhance user experiences, and rich case studies about sustainability and the effective planning of major events such as The Olympics.
My Masterclass explored the role of leadership, the importance of human connection, and why managing how your leadership is landing (especially when you are operating under pressure) has never been more important.
In a world increasingly shaped by technology and AI, events matter more than ever. They create space for real human connection. They also promote conversations that challenge our thinking, spark innovation, facilitate knowledge sharing, and build the relationships that drive meaningful change.
Thank you to everyone who attended, shared their perspectives, and contributed to such an engaging discussion. I’m looking forward to seeing how the events industry continues to evolve in the next 3-5 years. There was plenty innovation discussed yesterday!
